IRMA renamed Content Delivery & Storage Association

Originally launched as the International Tape Association (ITA), later adopting its current name, the International Recording Media Association, IRMA has now formally adopted its new name, the Content Delivery & Storage Association (CDSA).

"The CDSA name more aptly defines our mission as the worldwide forum on trends and innovation for the delivery and storage of entertainment and software content -– including both physical and electronic media systems," said chairman of the board Brian Wilson. "By maintaining a consistent look to our logo, we emphasise our continuing commitment to our core membership and our association's ongoing services."

Charles van Horn (pictured), the Association's president, added, "Our job is and has always been to deliver content safely, securely and satisfactorily for our customers, their customers and their customer's customers. Regardless of how that content is pressed, packaged, compressed, downloaded, stored or shelved, we represent the companies that make the format transition happen."
