MEDIATECH Association board changes

The MEDIA-TECH Association has announced important changes to the roles and duties of the Executive Board and Advisory Board. After a members' meeting held in Germany, a new chairman and vice chairman have been appointed Frank Hartwig of Cinram GmbH takes up the chairman's post, while Donald Schaffer of Sony Chemicals Europe BV will assume the role of vice chairman of the Association.

Sylvia Hitzel of Singulus Technologies AG will remain as treasurer of the Association and Michael Gutowski of Infodisc Technology GmbH will continue as chairman of the Replicator's Committee and a member of the executive board. Martin Brown of M2 ODA International will step down from his role as a board member and an election for his position will be conducted at the next members' meeting, which is being held on 18 May, to coincide with the MEDIA-TECH Global Expo and Summit in Frankfurt, Germany (19-21 May).

The Association has also confirmed the members of the Advisory Council for 2010-2011. These are: Juergen Helm of Anwell Technologies Europe Ltd, Peter Falk of AudioDev Sweden, Thomas Hackl of DataPlay, Michael Hosp of kdg Mediatech, and Tony Holden of ODC Nimbus.

The MEDIATECH Association is co-organiser of the forthcoming Blu-ray Disc Academy.
