Eyeframe expands authoring operations with PPC DVD merger

Leading London-based digital media and post-production facility Eyeframe has acquired DVD and Blu-ray authoring specialist Picture Production Company (PPC) through merger.

The merger will see Eyeframe expand significantly across personnel, kit and clients. Jo Harris, who has been heading up PPC DVD, will be coming across to Eyeframe along with key members of her team, including senior Blu-ray author Ranjit Sagoo, producer Tom Parker and designer Hanlie Volman, as well as others responsible for the encoding and QC.

The introduction of the PPC DVD team means their existing clients, which include ITV DVD and Momentum Pictures, will join Eyeframe who was one of the first authoring facilities in the UK to begin working across both HD DVD and Blu-ray formats. "Their addition to the award-winning Eyeframe will be complemented by their continued working relationship with Harris," says Eyeframe.

The merger also includes the acquisition of existing kit from the DVD suites at PPC. PPC will keep concentrating on its core business activities.

"PPC DVD has a strong reputation for their creative output across medias which will allow Eyeframe to expand its creative services across Blu-ray, DVD, design and digital delivery benefiting all of our clients," said Julie Redmond, Managing Director of Eyeframe.

"Over the past three years, with the support of PPC, we’ve pioneered BD and DVD authoring, and created an impressive array of groundbreaking projects. Now, we look forward to taking our expertise and experience to the next level at our new home at Eyeframe," adds Jo Harris.
