Poland's TAKT moves into Blu-ray with Infodisc partner

Recently entering Blu-ray Disc manufacturing, the leading Polish replicator TAKT has started a partnership with German replicator Infodisc Technology that will offer its clients a complete service with Blu-ray authoring and replication.

Established in 1991, TAKT has developed into one of the biggest independent replicators in Eastern Europe, producing all CD and DVD formats and offering additional services including authoring and mastering.

Infodisc was the first independent replicator in Europe who invested in the high-definition Blu-ray format as early as 2007. It offers a one-stop solution with authoring, replication, printing, packaging and delivery.

Together, the two companies hope to boost the Blu-ray format in Eastern Europe. “We strongly believe that Blu-ray is the format of the future and will soon outperform the DVD. Therefore we are continuously looking for opportunities to expand the format and to build strong partnerships”, says Michael Gutowski, CEO of Infodisc. “Infodisc is the ideal partner for our entry into the Blu-ray market, as it has profound knowledge and experience with this format,” adds Andrzej Mackiewicz, CEO of TAKT.
