NetBlender brings first Blu-ray authoring certification programme

DVD/BD authoring tool developer NetBlender has launched the industry's first comprehensive Blu-ray Authoring Certification programme. The new NetBlender Certified Blu-ray Professional (NCBP) programme is open to Blu-ray authors using the company's DoStudio, to NetBlender resellers and to technology instructional centers.

The training and certification program encompasses a variety of tracks ranging from free tutorials and self-guided online instruction to group training sessions to customized VIP sessions conducted via screen sharing and webinar.

"Every video professional that has spent even a small amount of time investigating Blu-ray knows that there are significant differences between Blu-ray and DVD," says IDMA President Bruce Nazarian "The Digital Guy". "Netblender's new training and certification program covers all the key areas of BD production, and will be very beneficial in accelerating the growth of Blu-ray production within the independent post production community."

NetBlender is launching the programme having already certified six Blu-ray professionals in the US, Europe and Asia.

In August of this year, the company introduced its Blu-ray production suite with integrated AVC encoder, DoStudio Workflow Edition (DSW).
