Czech Republic's CZ Digital sees blu future, installs BD line

Czech disc and packaging manufacturer GZ Digital Media plans to launch the first production plant for Blu-ray discs in Central Europe.

GZ Digital intends to invest more than CZ koruna 250m (€9.5m) in new technology for the plant, which will be constructed near its base in Lodenice, Czech Republic. The facility is scheduled to go into full operation in January 2012 at the latest.

GZ Digital, which moulds CD, DVD and vinyl records, also plans to increase its existing DVD pressing capacity and the production of disc cases and printed inserts. The Czech business is a PVC compounder.

The company expects the new operation at Lodenice to create employment for up to 30 workers, according to the Czech Republic’s foreign investment agency CzechInvest.

The 55-year-old company prides itself on offering a full one-stop service producing a range of jewel box and other disc packaging as well as printing inserts and sleeves. (Source: PRW.com)
