CDA brightens up market with fluorescent discs

German replicator and solution provider CDA Datenträger Albrechts introduces its new fluorescent discs in time for the GamesCom Fair. The so-called POPdisc attracts attention with its eye-catching luminance.

CDA believes games publishers were looking for new, distinctive solutions to generate higher sales volumes of their particular products. The POPdisc is made from specially-coloured polycarbonate material, producing an intense luminance with the ambient light.

POPdisc is available in both CD and DVD formats. The printable area is between 17mm and 118mm thus providing enough space for creative label designs. Both standard label printing methods offset and silkscreen can be used as well as CDA’s own HD-Print solution for photorealistic high resolution illustration.

Partially-sputtered discs can provide further special effects. POPdiscs can be delivered in all regular CD and DVD packagings. Several copy protection systems can be included in the discs.
