Partner with Goldcrest, The Pavement launches BD services

London-based high-end DVD production house, The Pavement, is relocating to new facilities in Soho in order to launch its range of HD services. The move will take place in early June 2008 and sees The Pavement forming an alliance with Goldcrest.

From Soho, The Pavement will offer worldwide clients HD video and audio post, HD design and animation
and Blu-ray authoring. But the company is also planning a growing US presence alongside Goldcrest’s New York facilities.

The alliance with Goldcrest will also strengthen The Pavement’s growing production arm. Access to in-house post-production will facilitate a streamlined production service across a range of formats including SD DVD, Blu-ray, UMD and mobile platforms, enabling the company to offer the complete package from concept through to delivery for its entertainment, education and corporate clients.

“With the HD format war over, we’re keen to make the most of Blu-Ray’s potential,” says Managing Director Andy Evans. “Our move to Soho – and proximity to Goldcrest and its complementary facilities – will make that possible. As the UK leaders in DVD production, we can’t wait to transfer our creativity and experience to this exciting new format.”

The Pavement’s move to Soho is being planned to avoid any disruption of ongoing projects. “The transition period will be staggered and totally seamless,” reassures Andy. “And once in Soho, we’ll be in the heartland of the production industry and on the doorstep of a number of key clients.”
