ZOO passes 10-million mark for its cloud-based subtitling service

ZOOsubs, the innovative cloud subtitling service delivered by ZOO Digital has, since its launch nine months ago, won favor with three major Hollywood film studios. In this short time, the number of client subtitles created and managed in ZOOsubs has crossed the 10-million mark.

ZOOsubs provides professional subtitles and captions for film studios, TV production companies, broadcasters and corporations, covering feature films, TV series, documentaries and promotional videos. Its network of specialists originate subtitles and captions in more than 55 languages.

As Gordon Doran, President, explains, "We've seen huge growth in demand for ZOOsubs since its launch. We think it's so popular because our 'new generation' approach is in stark contrast with the traditional way that companies deliver localization services. Traditional services are very human capital-intensive and inefficient. In contrast we provide an innovative offering that allows our customers to see the progress of each localization project from wherever they are in the world."

ZOO uses its own subtitling workflow and production software to provide its clients with up-to-the minute status information on all projects and to allow easy review and approval of materials. In addition, automated creation of digital distribution files in all commercial formats means that clients can access their subtitle assets securely from anywhere and share them with their facilities worldwide as required.
