Alpha Duplication launches new disc packaging product lines

Packaged media is still alive and well if one goes by the latest products released by High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire-based Alpha Duplication. The UK's largest CD duplication and DVD duplication specialist has launched two new concepts in disc packaging - Discpack90 and Discstack90.

Discpack90 is similar to the popular Digipak brand, but offers a wide variety of configurations, and Discstack90 is a solution for multi-disc sets, with standard templates for two to six discs.

Affordable quality, flexibility, design experience are the key concepts behind these new product lines, says the company. More than other packaging models, Discpack90 and Discstack90 offer a canvas for a wide variety of bespoke designs, "all ordered in one place and produced under one roof."

"At Alpha Duplication, we have an in-house printing and finishing facility, built specifically to cater to the flexible demands of the media industry," says Mike Redfern, Senior Sales Acount Manager. "Our packaging range can be produced quickly, efficiently and in large or small quantities. Indeed, we can service orders from as low as 50 units." There is also a new website for Discpack90.

Alpha Duplication offers CD, DVD, Blu-ray and USB duplications, printing and fulfillment services. For CD and DVD duplication is three to five days. Copy protection solutions for DVD video use both Rovi and Fortium Technologies.

Founded in 2001, the independent company now has a staff of 40 and can duplicate up to 50,000 discs a day. In 2008, Alpha Duplication formed Apollo Mediapack to service the packaging and fulfilment side of the company. It extended these services out to other trade operations in the duplication sector. Services include automatic DVD case assembly, automatic CD/DVD wallet insertion, cellophane over-wrapping for all case types including Blu-ray, high volume, fully automated shrink-wrapping, boxing, labelling and palletisation, stock re-working and re-distribution as well as fulfilment and distribution.

In 2013, Alpha Duplication launched DVD-to-digital download and DVD-to-App. This year, it is about to launch a bespoke Manufacturing-On-Demand service.
