Entertainment in Video expands partnership with Sony DADC



Entertainment in Video (EiV), one of the premier British independent home video distributors, is expanding its partnership with Sony DADC to full supply chain management for the UK and Ireland.

Already under contract with Sony DADC for compression, authoring and manufacturing of DVD and BD discs as well as order-to-cash and physical distribution, the new agreement will enable EiV to take advantage of Sony DADC's operations expertise and fulfilment capabilities "to help EiV support new business models and target fresh opportunities against the backdrop of a complex and highly dynamic market environment."

The contract, that began 1 February, is for shared box model (Distribution by DADC) and includes pick, pack and ship; dedicated customer service and integrated credit management.

A division of Entertainment Film Distributors and headquartered in London, EiV is one of the UK and Ireland's most successful distributors of home entertainment. Founded in 1978, the company distributes in theatrical, DVD rental and retail fields as well as licensing a substantial catalogue in both pay-TV and free-TV sectors.

It has handled the releases of serial BAFTA and Oscar winning films including The Lord of the Rings, Million Dollar Baby, Brokeback Mountain, The Artist as well as this year's BAFTA nominated feature releases The Master, Untouchable and Silver Linings Playbook.
