Disney Japan first Key Solutions customer for new BD pack
Disc packaging supplier Key Solutions has extended its range of wood, cardboard and leather packs with a Blu-ray range by adapting the company’s patented starmetalpak to the Blu-ray size.
The main characteristics of the Blu-ray starmetalpak – which can hold up to four discs – are that the box opens completely flat. Artwork can be printed on the cover and inside if clear trays option is chosen. It can be customized with embossing and UV spot gloss.
Buena Vista Japan was the first studio to use Key solutions’ new Blu-ray pack for the absolute edition of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence.
Production is located in China and lead time for delivery to Europe is nine weeks and eight weeks for the US market.
