Germany's CD/DVD manufacturer EDC adds Blu-ray Disc capabilities

Entertainment Distribution Company, Europe's largest independent CD and DVD replicator, is expanding its offering with the introduction of Blu-ray. The company has invested in a state-of-the-art Singulus Bluline II manufacturing line and will start processing Blu-ray orders from August onwards.

"Blu-ray gives us an additional service for our European film customers, as a company we are committed to offering the broadest possible service for all our customers," explains Sales & Marketing Director, Paul Murphy. "We are particularly keen to further support independent labels for whom Blu-ray forms part of the future."

Already accepted in the Content Delivery and Security Association's Anti-Piracy and Compliance Program, EDC was audited again earlier this year by CDSA to be certified supplier of the Content Protection and Security Program.

Established in 2005 following the acquisition of the manufacturing and distribution facilities of the Universal Music Group, EDC has become the largest, fully integrated optical disc manufacturing and distribution site in Europe. It provides supply chain services to well know companies such Universal, Philips, Activision and Blaupunkt.
