Brickbox Digital Media becomes Kit Digital in wake of acquisition

Following its acquisition by Kit Digital, a global supplier of IP platforms and solutions, in September 2010, and after several months of finalizing its integration, digital content company Brickbox Digital Media will be trading under KIT DIGITAL from 1 August.

Anticipating future market evolution, Kit Digital said it recognised the opportunity of opening up the digital supply chain for downstream production between Digital cinema, Blu-ray, DVD, VoD and IP platform releases. Now, the company will offers the widest spectrum of digital services to content owners, distributors, rights holders or anyone seeking to showcase their content digitally in theaters, via home entertainment media, on IPTV, mobile devices and tablets.

Alan Christensen, Director of Digital Cinema for Kit Digital said: “I am delighted to be part of a structure purely focused on the future formats of content delivery. Our business was raised on digital only, allowing us a unique edge on format optimization without financial deficits.

Kit Digital has over 30 offices worldwide and wants to turn them into a full production facility for mastering, replicating and distributing digital content across the entertainment industry.
