Scanavo opens SteelBook production plant in Ohio
Danish packaging manufacturer Scanavo is opening a new production facility for its lead product SteelBook in Ohio, USA, as part of the joint-venture with Glud & Marstrand Group.
“Due to the huge success of SteelBook in both Europe and North America, we are expanding our production capabilities to offer a better service to our customers in North America. The new Ohio plant will enable us to deliver our customer’s products in the same premium quality, and with short turnaround time,” says the company.
The new production facility in Ohio will be operational in August 2007. Scanavo says the location was selected for the area’s experience and competence in the steel industry, but also due to its strategic geographical location, within a 24 to 48 hour timeframe from all major replicators.
Increased demand for SteelBook in Europe is also leading to the expansion in capacity in the European facility.
