Casino Royale, The Departed top next-gen awards

James Bond enjoyed various successes at the recent Entertainment Merchants Association's Home Entertainment Awards in Las Vegas. A remastered box set won 'Remastered Title Of The Year', and Casino Royale won the very first 'Blu-ray Title Of The Year.'

Warner Home Video's The Departed won two awards, taking rental title of the year from a major studio and HD DVD title of the year, while Genius Products' Clerks II won marketing campaign of the year from an independent studio and DVD extras of the year from an independent studio.

Cars, from Buena Vista Home Entertainment, was the overall winner with three awards: children's title of the year, family title of the year and sell-through title of the year from a major studio.

Titles are nominated by the Entertainment Merchants Association's (EMA) committee and winners decided by EMA retail and distributor members.
