Hiroshi Uchikoga is Founder and CEO of Tokyo-based Visionare Corp and Co-founder of Veam Inc in Silicon Valley. Hiroshi's career spans from leading the investment division of one of Japan's largest telecom companies to founding a distribution service for independent content.
Visionare is a software development company that brought to market a DVD/BD rental system where disc content is unlocked via smartphone. Veam focuses on building a revolutionary internet-based video distribution platform using mobile apps. Two patents are pending.
Launched this year, Veam empowers independent filmmakers and musicians to easily put their content into the hands (and pockets) of their intended audiences - and monetizing it doing it.
Prior to establishing these companies, Hiroshi has been a senior executive at Softbank Corp in charge of investment with Internet companies in Silicon Valley. Before that, he as General Manager of GeoCities Japan, growing the website into the second largest traffic website in the country. For eight years, Hiroshi worked at Toshiba in various capacities, from product planning to strategy and Internet projects.
